Hair Tips for Isolation

Hair Tips in Isolation Heading

Our hair tips for isolation are just what you need while we are all stuck at home in during the COVID 19 Pandemic. It’s so important to have some daily routines to keep you motivated and confident for when we can all return to normal life. This will pass and we all have a choice: to embrace this time to learn and grow or throw your hands in the air with defeat.

At Khayaam we are embracing this time to up-skill our staff, learn new techniques both in hairdressing and personal development, renovate the Salon, the list goes on. So when we reopen and we WILL reopen, all our guests will enjoy the experience of a life time, and of course stunning hair again!

We understand your hair will be starting to get you down so here is a few tips and hints to get you through home ISO.

Home Hair Tips

While the promise of a simple hair DIY at home may seem so tempting while salon closures linger, Khayaam Hair Professionals stress that it’s an online trend that should definitely be skipped.

“Haircuts and colour should be left to the professionals,”

“A YouTube video is simply no match for the years of training and experience that a good hairdresser has.

I think we’ve all seen those videos where a bang trim ends up a complete disaster, or a chemist colour ends up melting off the hair.

“Better to let your hair be a bit too long and better to let your roots show a bit more than normal, than to require a massive cut-and-colour correction when we are finally able to reopen.”

The case for keeping away from box dyes is especially strong for blondes. Leeanne Pearce colourist and owner, says “If you are a blonde and working with a lightener at home, you can severely burn your scalp and cause significant hair breakage.” Leeanne explains “I’ve seen it happen several times, it is really not worth it.”

For those who are battling with visible grey hairs or obvious regrowth. We want to still look presentable while working from home and possible video conference calls. We recommend trying a toning conditioner by Evo Fabuloso Pro,

Soft Colour from Goldwell or a spray touch up by KMS instead of reaching for a bottle of do-it-yourself dye is another easy alternative.

All of these products can be personalised to a clients individual needs and purchased on our online store https://khayaam.com.au/shop/

Style Time

We have some great styling hair tips for isolation. Using this time in ISO to learn new skills in styling is a great way to pass some time while making you feel good about your appearance. Self care is so vital in these stressful times.

On our Facebook, Instagram and YouTube Channel you will find some tutorials with different looks to practice, check them out.

If you have long hair embrace not washing it as often, throw it up in a top knot and rock the messy up do.

For our gorgeous short hair clients try tucking your hair behind your ears, slicking it back with product for a strong sexy look or why not pop on a stylish hat. You can personalise your look simply by having some fun.
