Khayaam has happily sponsored the fundraising events for Women of Wellington WOW Factor nights, contributing pamper packs for prizes and raffles to help raise funds for local causes, directly helping the people in our own community.

“Kristy Morris danced her way to victory on Saturday night, securing the title of dance champion for this year’s Dancing With Our Stars. It was a fabulous night, with more than $40,000 raised for the Five Star Project and hundreds of locals turning out to show their support. Richard Alexander from Sale Greyhound Club was crowned fundraising champion, raising the most money overall. But Kristy stole the limelight, scoring 28 points out of 30 for her slow waltz with professional dancer Hooman Ebadi (of HD Entertainment). She matched her score in the second round dancing a Salsa” – Gippsland Times 10.8.15
We were happy to be able to participate and help promote the 2015 Wellington relay for Life and show our support for those who give aid as well as those who struggle with the fight against cancer.
Khayaam Hair and Makeup have been priveleged to host the remaining head pieces from the collection of the late Paris Kyne, World Famous Master Milliner – providing the community a unique opportunity to own a piece of local heritage as well as raise funds for charity.
Paris grew up locally in Stratford so after his passing, his family wished to use these pieces to help raise funds in aid of underpriveleged children through the East Timor Program at Catholic College Sale where he attended school. Khayaam owner Leeanne Pearce was thrilled to be able to aid in this wonderful tribute to the late Paris as a very talented and world famous milliner with local roots and to be able to help a children’s charity abroad.
Hat Day aims to raise funds and encourage everyone to get involved and show support for people affected by depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, anorexia and many more serious mental illness conditions. Khayaam Hatters Tea Party helped raise funds and awareness for Mental Health support. Wearing a crazy hats, combined with all day refreshments of tea and cake our team treated our clients to a fun day along with their well deserved and relaxing pamper. As hair stylists and makeup artists our job is not just about having our guests look great, we endeavour to help them feel great as well. We’re proud to say that every cent of our Hat Day donations go to funding high quality mental health research projects around the country through Australian Rotary Health.
Our team have proudly participated in the Support Small Business Day initiative encouraging locals to shop local and support the businesses that support our community and our local economy. Click Here to watch our Support Small Business Day Video

In April 2012, our salon owners tackled the Kokoda trail and learnt
again that teamwork is the best way to accomplish anything. This is what
they had to say of their experience; “We walked in the footsteps of our
Diggers and had the privelege of being on top Brigade Hill for Anzac
Day dawn service. Our group consisted of 15 other everday Australians
from all walks of life, ageing from 20’s to late 50’s and from all over
the country. We entered as strangers but left as the closest of friends
having shared an incredible physical and emotional charged journey! It
is extremely hard to put into words what it was like and no photo does
the landscape any justice. We all had sore knees, ankles, feet &
backs, we all stunk going 8 days without showering, we all had our
moments along the track doubting ourselves BUT no-one was shoting at us!
We had food! We didn’t suffer from dysentery! We only walked from one
end to the other! We were home again in 10 days! May our Diggers rest in
peace for their ultimate sacrifice! Lest We Forget…
Best Shop Front
On Nov 28th Khayaam Salon won the Sale Business Community Associations
